Ms. Ambrose seems to be unaware of the fact that Canada eased its sanctions on Iran following the multilateral nuclear agreement (JCPOA) and its ratification in the UN Security Council, which called for all UN member states to comply with the terms of the agreement. Therefore restoration of the sanctions against Iran will be in contradiction with Canada’s international obligations.
